David G. Kalergis, CEO of Diffusion Pharmaceuticals, LLC
David G. Kalergis is Chief Executive Officer of Diffusion Pharmaceuticals LLC, a Charlottesville-based clinical-stage drug development company. He has held this position since January, 2004. From 1998 to 2004, he was Director of the University of Virginia Gateway, an initiative to encourage interaction between knowledge-based industry and University’s research faculty. He currently serves on the board of the VaBIO. From 1991 to 1997, he was the General Counsel, Director of Business Development, and Consultant to Pharmaceutical Research Associates, Inc., a Charlottesville-based corporation providing clinical trial services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. From 1986 to 1990, Mr. Kalergis was President and General Counsel of Designs Import/Export, Ltd., a corporation with exclusive distribution contracts from Asian manufacturers. From 1982 to 1986, he was associated with the New York law firm of Dewey, Ballantine, Bushby, Palmer & Wood. Mr. Kalergis graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. degree in Psychology in 1970 and received his J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Virginia in 1982. Mr. Kalergis has broad experience in law and business management.
