Customer Profile : Waugh Enterprises Harley-Davidson

“VNB gets it!” said Donna Waugh-Robinson of her business banking relationship with Virginia National Bank.  “People still like to do business one on one.  We have been dealing with VNB since they came to our small rural town.  Everyone knows our first and last name.  We can call VNB and a real person answers the phone and handles our need right away without any run-around or having to listen to five minutes of automated messages.  VNB continually delivers excellent customer service. “

“Waugh Enterprises Harley-Davidson has always been aware of the impact our business has on our county and strives to be a good steward of the Orange community.  Most of our customers are not residents of Orange so we always encourage them to get to know our region.  If they have more reasons to visit Orange, we all benefit.  We partner with the Tourism Office, Orange Downtown Alliance, Orange County Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Office to cross-promote our business and other local attractions.  We are proud to be an integral part of the Orange community.  Our family is a firm believer in shopping local as much as possible, and that includes banking!  We give back to the community and we pay close attention to the other businesses that support our county and community causes.  We see just how much VNB does for our community as well.  You don’t see that from the big banks.  They might sponsor bigger venues like the Olympics but VNB supports our local organizations, local needs and causes.  VNB is a true community partner.”

“Through the years we have needed the lending services of VNB on several occasions.  When those times have come up, we only have to make one phone call to the bank and Arthur Bryant handles the rest of the process for us. We tell VNB what’s going on, what our intentions are, and how much we think we need.  Arthur comes by the dealership himself to get signatures, if he needs more information or if he just wants to chat with us one on one.  He has made himself a part of the community and has gone out of his way to understand how our business works.  We are a franchised Harley-Davidson dealership, obviously we have a busy season and a slow season.  VNB understands that and offers services that accommodate our seasonality.    When the economy tanked in 2008, it greatly affected our business.  We had to re-evaluate our business plan and make some hard decisions.  Once again, VNB was there for us.  That is what makes VNB a true community partner!”

“VNB is more than willing to serve our community and our family run business.  They treat all their clients with respect regardless of the size of their account.  They maintain a personal and professional relationship with us and they want to be a part of our success.  As opposed to the big banking industry, we still matter to VNB.  We are not just an account number!”

Virginia National Bank Celebrates the Building Goodness Foundation

Get ready to ‘rock the house’ with VNB at this year’s Battle of the Bands and Rockin’ Auction event at the Jefferson Theater, Friday, September 19th from 7pm – 11 pm. For the third consecutive year, VNB is sponsoring a band challenger to battle for first place with other talented, local musicians.   The crowd pleasing Will Overman Band will represent VNB at this year’s event and with a little help from our friends make for a wonderful evening of great food, dancing and music.  And don’t forget, we contend that this event has the best auction items of any fundraiser in town!

All the fun supports the Building Goodness Foundation, a Charlottesville based nonprofit organization of skilled volunteers from our local design and construction industry.  The BGF mission centers around building critically needed schools, clinics, homes and centers for ecological and economic development in vulnerable communities here and aboard.

Tickets for Battle of the Bands can be purchased at buildinggoodness.org /tickets or at these retail locations: The Jefferson Theater, Lynn Goldman Elements, Loring Woodriff Real Estate Associates, and Atlas Coffee.
